SFO
24 airport lounges in
San Francisco International Airport
San Francisco, US
Our take: Strong lounges, heavy crowds
- Best premium option: United Polaris Lounge has SFO's deepest amenity set, with sit-down dining, showers, daybeds, and a full bar. It is also one of the busier Polaris lounges, so join the restaurant waitlist early and expect crowds near the food areas.
- AmEx Centurion: The permanent AmEx Centurion Lounge in Terminal 3 is temporarily closed for modernization. The Terminal 2 temporary lounge is useful if you have access, but it is a step down and often has a line.
- Priority Pass: The Club SFO is the main traditional Priority Pass lounge to consider, though food and crowding have slipped. Alaska Lounge is stronger in Terminal 1 if you meet its Alaska or partner boarding-pass rule and pay the required fee; the A Gates Priority Pass lounges are mostly convenience stops.
- Better airline-lounge picks: Air France-KLM Lounge and Cathay Pacific Lounge are stronger A Gates choices than most Priority Pass options. In Terminal 2, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is a solid Star Alliance or Chase Sapphire Reserve option with showers and an outdoor patio.
