Our take: Polaris and card lounges lead at Dulles
- Best premium option: United Polaris Lounge near C18 is the best choice if you qualify. It is worth a visit, though a step down from other Polaris lounges.
- Capital One: The Capital One Lounge just past main Security has very good food, drinks and grab-and-go options. Join the waitlist early; it gets busy and has no showers.
- Chase Sapphire access: The Etihad Lounge near A14 offers made-to-order food and friendly service, but seating is tight. Bring an eligible Chase card or Chase-issued Priority Pass Select membership with an eligible departing boarding pass; general Priority Pass access does not apply.
- Priority Pass: The remaining traditional lounges are underwhelming: Air France/KLM has mediocre food and crowds, Turkish is small and crowded, and Virgin Atlantic is also small. Check which food is complimentary at Virgin before ordering.
- Other airline lounges: The United Clubs in C and D are weak convenience stops. Lufthansa's lounges in B are temporarily closed for renovation through the end of 2026.
